Max Verstappen dramatically won his first Formula One title after beating Lewis Hamilton in the final lap at the Yas Marina circuit in Abu Dhabi.
However, the Dutchman was relieved of the task because it was preceded by a decision of the director Michael Masi, who ordered the removal of all the lagging cars between them.
The FIA, ie its special commission, has launched an investigation into all that happened, and it is possible that Max Verstappen’s title will be revoked at the “green table”.
“All the details are being reviewed at the moment, and the initial information will be known on February 14.
“While we expect the entire investigation to be completed in March, before the start of the new season,” reads the statement of the FIA special commission.
