George Russell wins pole position at the Hungarian Grand Prix

Mercedes driver George Russell won pole position ahead of the Hungarian Grand Prix.

The Brit drove the qualifications in a time of 1:17.377.

Carlos Sainz Junior of Ferrari had the second time, and his teammate Charles Leclerc finished qualifying in third.

With an incredible lap, Russell practically managed to steal the pole position from Sainc and reach the first pole in his career.

“I’m over the moon. Absolutely unreal. I waited for my chance, saw it and took it. It was an amazing feeling,” said Russell after qualifying.
