Hamann Motorsport Unveils Tuning Program for BMW M2

Hamann has unveiled its new tuning program for the BMW M2. Called “Personality kit”, it consists of aerodynamic and power upgrade.bmw-m2-by-hamann-01


Hamann’s aerodynamics upgrade features a complete aero kit made of a front spoiler that expands across the whole vehicle width and compliments the radiator grille at the bottom of the bumper as well as an optional, centered carbon-fiber insert underneath the grille. There’s also new high-quality sills featuring extra wing tips right in front of the wheel arches, a new spoiler at the back, smoked taillights and body-colored diffuser to go with the optional custom stainless steel sports exhaust, which has been decorated with four pipes equipped with carbon-fiber or classical, silver or black anodised tail pieces. The exterior changes are rounded out by the addition of the blue Hamann Anniversary Evo wheels, but also it can be ordered a different wheel designs from Hamann’s wide assortment, as always.
The power upgrade boosts the car’s 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine from 370 hp to 420 hp (272 kW to 309 kW) and torque from 465 Nm to 530 Nm. To get these extra figures, the tuner outfitted the straight-six turbo engine with the additional control unit to optimize the ignition map. Together with the six-gear manual gearbox or the optional seven-gear dual-clutch gearbox, the M2 now sprints from standstill to 100 km/h in 4.2 seconds, which is an improvement by 0.1 seconds.
