Lewis Hamilton :Bahrain GP will be tough for everyone

2023 Bahrain Pre-Season Test, Day 2

Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton says that the Bahrain Grand Prix will be difficult for everyone after pre-season testing.

Mercedes wants to return to winning ways in the new season after last year they won only towards the end of the season, after both Ferrari and Red Bull stopped upgrading their cars.

The new W14 is tasked with bringing the German team back to the top. During the pre-season testing, there was a problem with the hydraulics, so this situation reduced their already reduced test hours.

However, what Mercedes was satisfied with is that they are convinced that they have practically done that they have put an end to the bouncing, which prevented their development last year.

Such information was given by the head of Mercedes, and the same was confirmed by the seven-time world champion.

“The bounce we had is almost gone,” Hamilton said.

“It is a big step for us. It’s nice to drive without bouncing for once, but there are still some fundamental things we’re working on.”

The pre-season testing is followed by the first race weekend, which is also held at the place where the drivers tested their cars for the new season.

As such, Hamilton expects a very challenging Bahrain Grand Prix for everyone, which he blamed on the very short period of test days they had last week.
