The current Mazda CX-3 has recently undergone minor adjustments (in the picture), but the Japanese company is already preparing a completely new generation for 2020.
First of all, since the CX-3 will get a new SkyActiv II platform, this crossover will be larger than the current generation (it will be longer than 7 cm), with a more spacious and comfortable interior as well as a larger volume trunk.
Interior design also includes redesigned seats and a new dashboard design, and sound insulation will also be improved.
Also, alongside the new platform, a torsional rear suspension is used instead of a multi-link, with the aim of reducing noise during driving.
And the new CX-3 will get Mazda’s new SkyActiv-X family of engines, which will be distinguished by 20-30 percent less fuel consumption and torque higher by 10 to 30 percent.
The first will be a 2.0-liter SkyActiv-X gasoline engine with 187 hp and 230 Nm, which is said to combine the fuel economy of diesel engines and all benefits of gasoline.
