With over 1300 hp this modified Golf 2 represents a rocket on wheels which is used only for quarter of mile drag racing. This is one of the most extreme car modifications ever made but it still attracts a lot of attention. This tuned version of Golf 2 reveals a different face in the eyes of the public. The car is so powerful that is really difficult to control so it demands a professional driver to achieve good results. Therefore last year the Golf completed a quarter of mile drag race for 8.89 sec with a top speed of 269 km/h. The previous attempt at Santa Pod was significantly slower than this one as the car’s top speed was just 251 km/h.
