While we wait for the official promotion of the new sports Nissan Z, a Japanese magazine has published new renderings of its possible appearance.
Nissan recently announced that in the next 18 months it will present 12 novelties, whose names start with the A (serial version of the electric crossover Ariya) all the way to the Z (the new Z sports model, the successor to the current 370Z).
The new Nissan Z (perhaps called the 400Z) is expected to appear in the next 12 months, according to earlier information. It will also be distinguished by some retro elements, which means that the front part will get a look modeled on the original 240Z, while the rear part will allegedly have lights inspired by the 300ZX model.
An adapted Infiniti Q50 and Q60 rear-wheel drive platform could serve as a base.
For the interior, a significant modernization is planned (with better quality materials, digital instrument panel and modern infotainment system), while under the hood it will have a 3.0-liter V6 twin-turbo engine with about 400HP (paired with a manual or automatic transmission).
Also, the Nismo version with some 480HP is expected, but for now it is not known whether some form of electrification will be applied here.
The base 400Z is expected to cost around $ 40,000, and the Nismo version may cost more than $ 50,000.
